Reason Gaming qualify for ESEA Advanced

Reason Gaming has seemingly touched gold with their new roster as they qualify for Season 53 of ESEA Advanced.

Coming into 2025, the British organisation announced a fresh start, signing a new UK roster. With familiar faces Fred “FincHY” Finch and Charlie “cJe” Everitt, who previously represented Reason Gaming, the roster saw limited success both regionally and internationally. But since the inclusion of James “Flicky” Errington, Mykhailo “m1she4ka” Sakach and Vitaliy “v1ze” Filatov they just can’t stop winning.

Heading into Season 52 of ESEA Main, the expectation would have been to make playoffs due to the experience of the new additions. No one expected them to not only match those expectations but exceed them.

The season would not start the way they wanted to as they picked up a loss in their opening game. From this point onwards, Reason Gaming would drop just one map on their route to Advanced.

With a near flawless regular season ending 12-2, Reason Gaming set themselves up for success as they get a bye in the opening round of playoffs. Sweeping past Madagaskar, taking revenge on Virtus.Pro’s academy roster VP.Prodigy there was only one obstacle in their way. This ended up being their easiest game of the lot as the British core breezed past underrated to qualify for ESEA Advanced.

Their run still continues – they have defeated both Eternal Fire Academy and BAKS to reach the Grand Finals. From this point onwards, Reason Gaming will be playing for the top prize of $3,500.

The last time a UK team qualified for ESEA Advanced was in March 2024 when Team Coalesce qualified through ESEA Main. In a scene that is filled with a lot of doom and gloom, having a team find international success can serve as a beacon for others to follow.

This now marks as the first time all three British players on Reason Gaming will play in ESEA Advanced.

Not only has this squad been flying the UK flag internationally but they are mimicking that success regionally. Despite having to play their first four games with Ben “RezzeD” Bignall, Reason Gaming end the regular season of UKIC Season 5 Division 1 on top, ahead of ALASKA. Going straight through to the Semi Finals, they will play the winner of 8Sins versus ANTARTICA.
